ARMI Gives Back
The holiday season is here and that means people are wanting to get ahead on their shopping while saving some money. Two of the biggest days of the year that get the most attention along with social media hype are Black Friday and Cyber Monday. While we all love finding good deals, there are very few people who are familiar with the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving which is known as #GivingTuesday.
Today, November 28th, 2017 is known as the annual “Day of Giving.” This day was founded in 2012 by 92nd Street Y & the United Nations Foundation to create the potential of social media & generosity of people around the world to bring change in their communities. In 2016, $177 million was donated to non-profits.
This year ARMI gave back to our local community before Thanksgiving by donating over 10,000 meals to Life Source International – Fayetteville. Holidays are always a busy time for us as well, and we are very thankful to have a team that dedicated their time and efforts for a good cause.
ARMI teamed up with another local organization, The Pack Shack, to make this happen. With about 25 people from our team we were able to pack all these meals in a little over an hour! It was a great team building experience and we got to focus on giving back during the holiday seasons rather than getting caught up in the hustle and bustle. Whether it’s donating to a charity or to a person in need, we encourage you to be a part of #GivingTuesday.
